Applications for the next year’s licenses will be available on or before November 1. It is recommended that all current licensees apply well ahead of December 31 in order to avoid a lapse in licensure.
3) 2021 Fee Schedule for growing hemp?
Application fee: $150 nonrefundable, due at time of application.
Cultivator site registration fee: $600 per site, due at time of application.
Site modification fee: $75 due upon approval of site modification (additional site registration fees apply if adding a site rather than modifying an existing site).
Delinquent renewal fees (assessed monthly at 25% of base fee):
Feb 1: $187.50
Mar 1: $375
Apr 1: $562.50
May 1: $750
3) Do I need a cultivator or processor-handler license to sell CBD oil or other finished hemp products in Nebraska?
No. The Nebraska Department of Agriculture does not regulate finished hemp products.
4) Is there a limit to how many acres of hemp I can plant and receive a license for?
You can apply for a license to plant as many acres as you want. Each site of cultivation will require an additional site registration fee.
5) Where can I find hemp seeds or clones?
Individuals are responsible for sourcing their own hemp plants. Hemp seed must be labeled by a seed permit holder and comply with the Nebraska Seed Law. (Genetics of CBD Seed Labs are 100% USDA compliant.)
